Pierrette Requier, bilingual poet, speaker, and workshop facilitator enjoys and encourages collaborations with poets of all ages, visual artists and musicians. Her work has been published in a number of anthologies, websites and magazines. She has published a book of poetry as part of Frontenac House’s Quartet 2009. In June 2010, her bilingual poems appeared in a two-person show “Storm/orage” with Alberta’s Storm Chaser, and visual artist Ian Sheldon in The Works, Edmonton’s Art and Design Festival. As designer and facilitator of the Wind Eye Writing Seminars Pierrette hosts monthly gatherings in her studio. She believes that every person has poems and that the act of writing, then reading poems aloud brings out the magnificence.
She will be working with youth at the Armoury branch of the Youth Emergency Shelter in Edmonton as well as at Georges P. Vanier School in Donnelly Alberta where she attended school and later taught language arts.
