Geneviève Morin was born in 1974. She is part of the new generation of Quebec city’s poets. Her poetry talks about everyday life and is often ironic. Her imagery is also strongly surrealistic. In 2008 she won the Alphonse-Piché poetry award. Her winning collection was published in the book « Poèmes du lendemain 17 » (Écrit des forges). She also published poems and short stories in canadian literary reviews such as Estuaire, Moebius, Xyz and Contemporary Verse 2. She likes to perform her poetry on stage and participates in literary festivals and events since 1994.
