Jeremy Major is poemed in the thin air of the Crowne Lounge, with a
bird's eye view of Winnipeg's autumn skyline as a backdrop.

Gloe Cormie--A poem moment to begin the week
Steven Schipper, Artistic Director for MTC (Manitoba Theatre Centre), has a quiet moment listening to my poem "By the River on Opening Night", before he dashes to the airport to meet a colleague. I also poemed MTC's Producer, Laurie Lam, who said she is camera-shy. However Laurie was enthusiastic about being poemed and emailed me the next day to say, ³Can't tell you what joy you brought to the dying afternoon yesterday. Every working stiff should get poemed on a Monday. Thanks again.'"

Gloe Cormie poems a father and daughter
John Petriew and his young daughter, Amy, wanted the adventure of being poemed on a floating pier at the Forks Dock just before they embarked on their own adventure rowing on the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.

I had the delightful opportunity to do a poeming & teaching visit to
the Millennium Library's ESL Circle, facilitated by Marie Allan. This ESL Circle includes people from Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Russia, China and Mexico.

WAG Director is poemed by Gloe Cormie
Winnipeg Art Gallery Director, Pierre Arpin, listens as I read Ode to Vermeer's Woman Pouring Milk, from my book Sea Salt, Red Oven Mitts and the Blues. In a moment of synchronicity after the reading, I discovered that Vermeer is his all-time favourite painter as well as mine. Pierre Arpin also fondly recalled our supporter of RAP, the Victoria Read Society (which I haven't yet seen), as an aesthetic white and green building nearby a magnolia tree with blooms so big they seem to weigh the tree down.
Gloe Cormie Pasta La Vista Lounge poeming visit
A photo of Leona Settee being poemed early Friday evening before she goes to an auteur film. I read her an appropriate poem from Sea Salt, Red Oven Mitts and the Blues. I also read a recent poem in which Pasta La Vista Lounge and the mirrored building across the street is featured, titled "An urban take on Keats' Grecian Urn". She was happy to receive a copy of this poem in addition to a personalized copy of my book.
Gloe Cormie Random Acts of Poetry classroom visit
Thought I'd poem a couple of writing classes in addition to ESL
classes, so I did a RAP visit to the evening Creative Writing class
of accomplished poet and professor, Dennis Cooley, at St. John's
College, University of Manitoba.
